Situation
I completed an 8 month internship at Ticketmaster, building B2B/SAAS products for Universe.com. I worked alongside PM’s & developers.

Task
Ship digital solutions for the platform Universe.com, enhancing functionality for event hosts, and streamlining user experiences.

Action
Completed 5 projects, including shipping 2 features for Universe.com. Squashed 6 bugs, improving numerous smaller experiences.

Result
Increased event discoverability and conversions for shared events, improved duplication flexibility, and streamlined handoff between teams.

Simple and far-reaching sharing options
‘Social sharing’ introduced a sharing modal on Universe events, allowing users to share via social media, email and more. The newfound reachability increased traffic to the platform & improved conversion rates for shared events.

Efficient and flexible event duplication
'Event duplication enhancements' overhauled the event management process across multiple points of entry. It introduced a myriad of new features that gave further agency to clients when customizing their duplicated events, increasing flexibility and efficiency.

The remaining projects tackled quality of life changes, bug fixes and design system improvements. Contributions were made towards the Universe design system including component organization, documentation and updates.

Products are never “finished” and will continue to evolve to reflect changing user preferences and industry trends.

Outlining guidelines and boundaries during feedback sessions helps minimize bias and results in a more conclusive critique.

Tight deadlines highlight the importance choosing the most effective research methods to ensure timely product delivery.

A thrilling immersion into the industry 🚀
Over the course of 8 months, I had the incredible opportunity to work alongside a talented team of designers, product managers and developers to deliver 11 projects and ship 2 major features for the Universe.com platform. I couldn't have done it without my design manager and senior product designer who's expertise helped transform my mindset and elevate my skills beyond belief.
